Scholarships
Scholarships will be awarded based on academic
achievement and/or financial need. These scholarships will be granted to
selected applicants who plan to attend accredited colleges or universities. The
applicant may be a student currently attending high school or an individual who
desires to pursue higher education. This includes individuals desiring to pursue
additional education in their current line of
work and/or choosing to pursue
a new career.
At this time, JJL Miller Foundation will award
scholarships periodically as funding becomes available. As the organization
grows, deadlines will be posted so that applicants can apply for a scholarship
for a given academic school year. In the interim, please review the criteria as
listed to determine eligibility and submit the applicant application.
Applicant Criteria
1. Applicant who is currently attending high school or college/university
a. Minimum GPA 3.0
b. Community Service 100 hours
c. Financial need- Please submit separate
statement detailing circumstances and why you deserve to be awarded this
scholarship.
This should be submitted along with the applicant application.
d. Other circumstances will
be considered on a case by case basis. Please submit separate statement detailing
circumstances
and why you deserve to be awarded this scholarship. This should be submitted
along with the applicant
application.
2. Applicant who is not currently attending college
a.
Will be evaluated on a case by case basis. Please submit grades
for schools/colleges last attended. Please
submit
separate statement detailing what is motivating you to pursue higher education,
what you hope to accomplish and why
you deserve to be awarded this scholarship.
This should be submitted along with the
applicant application.
